Dear Yallahouse.
I am an Italian citizen willing to study Classical Arabic in Damascus.
I found a school named the Maahad and another named the Arabic Institute for non Arabic speakers S-A-R in Mezzeh Villat Sharkyya. Are they the same Institute? I am trying to get in touch with them but no one would answer my e-mails nor my telephone calls. Do you have different numbers or e-mails of these Institutes (or if it is the same Institute an e-mail or a telephone number?). I have: arabicinstitute@mail.sy ; 963-11-6132646/6133151 ; 963-11-662 2743 / 222 4867. No e-mail for the Maahad.
Also I would like to ask if it is that difficolt to travel, for example, in Lebanon for one week without a multiple visa. Is it hard to get a visa in Syria for Lebanon and to get back in Syria without problems? I have a normal visa and I do not know if I have time to get a multiple one since I am flying to Syria the 5th of March.
Thanks a lot for the informations.
Best regards.
Jose

Hi Jose,
In order to be able to visit Lebanon from Syria you need a multiple entry visa. If you dont have it you can go to Lebanon but you need to buy your visa back to Syria.
For the institute, I am sorry to tell you it is the same place .. Ma'had and the Arabic institute. and i will try to bring you the contact to them as soon as i can.
But you can check the Useful Info page in Yalla House for more information about different institutes and classes. you can find links to them as well.
